A Basque-Spanish native living in London, Maria has over 30 years’ experience translating and interpreting in the English legal sector, specifically criminal law.
Since 1987, when she joined the Metropolitan Police List of Interpreters and Translators, she has had extensive training on interpreting in all sorts of criminal cases. The majority of her work has been for courts and law enforcement agencies in the UK and abroad. As she is vetted to a high level, she is able to work in enquiries of a confidential and sensitive nature. She has received commendations in the UK and a condecoration abroad.
In recent years Maria has begun adding to her specialisms and has, having gained the Foundation Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy, is currently completing the full Diploma.
