Emma Plested is one of the founders and directors of Quality Spanish Translations. After working in the language industry as an interpreter and translator between Spanish and English for almost 20 years, in 2018 she was awarded Chartered Translator status.
After graduating with a BA in Hispanic Studies, Emma completed the post-graduate Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) in Law, and worked for almost 10 years as a Police and Courts Interpreter with the Association of Police & Courts Interpreters (APCI) and the National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI). She is highly familiar with the terminology and practices used in such settings and appreciates the importance of profit, budgets and deadlines. Having lived in Spain, Mexico and Chile as well as the UK, Emma understands the challenges of bilingual living and has frequently worked with individuals and businesses needing to relocate or function in multiple countries.
